I can’t get enough of The Big Band Years. I love that music.

I loved Alone In The Wilderness about the man that built his cottage – a wonderful job -the envy of any contractor – and then lived in it!

I think people who watched Sesame Street growing up have an added depth of character.

Big Band Years has made me want to form my own band to play music of the 20s, 30s and 40s.

I’m addicted to EastEnders and have been for many years. Why do I love it?…..Terrific writing, marvelous acting and very real characters.

Thank you so very much for keeping it on the air, WLIW.

I “m an Eastie! Wish we weren’t falling farther and farther behind the current episodes of Eastenders in Britian. It’s a shame it costs so much to air it. I love it because I love the way they talk.
    I also like Supernova.

I am a long time fan of The EastEnders. It’s one of the many wonderful programs WLIW offers us viewers. The EastEnders is a brilliantly written drama, unlike some of the soaps we see on the other stations. I applaud WLIW for continuing to provide such splendid shows. Thank you for your continued showing of our beloved EastEnders.

Since 1985 I have been an avid fan of EastEnders. It is always the highlight of my week. It is so unlike the US soaps, really a drama. People are real, it’s full of action. One of the best aspects of the show is the interaction between the characters. It doesn’t matter what race, color or creed they are. I am a regular pledger to the show and am grateful you are keeping it on the air.

I watch all of your British shows on a regular basis and especially enjoy New Tricks and Masterpiece Mystery.

I watch EastEnders and I love the show. The show is unique in that the story lines come to a conclusion in a short period of time and the characters are wonderful. I appreciate your station (WLIW) for continuing to keep EastEnders on the air. Thanks Again,

WLIW always has unique programming as well as a variety of programs. I especially enjoy the British comedies, cooking shows, and New Tricks. I enjoy EastEnders because it’s soap opera on a higher level than American soap opera. I’m attached to the characters – love some and hate some as well Thank you for carrying the program!

WLIW is part of the reason why I’m a TV addict…..I especially cannot get enough of the British comedies such as EastEnders and New Tricks. Special thanks for supporting your viewers (like me)…..You’ve earned my loyalty in return!

Thank you for continuing to broadcast “Eastenders.” I find the series a modern version of much Victorian English literature. To many the pedestrian plots coupled with superior acting make this “slice of British life” on the “telly” a must-see every week. Many thanks!

I am addicted to Eastenders and have been since it started here in NYC. The most realistic of any “soap” I have ever seen. Thanks WLIW for keeping Eastenders on the air!

I am a seriously devoted fan of EASTENDERS and have been watching it since it started. I am very grateful to WLIW for continuing to air this program and will always pledge to support it. There is currently nothing else like it on American television — the characters have become kind of an extended family to me and i eagerly await each episode!!

I I value your station because you are responsive to providing unique programming as evidenced by continuing to include Eastenders in your schedule. This program is the most important show I watch and its realistic characters have become my friends. It is of much higher quality than network dramas and supports WLIW’s mission of bringing quality to our homes. I learn many life lessons from it. Thank you for the special enrichment I receive from Eastenders and for broadcasting your wonderful station to northern NJ.

I remember a Saturday night of seeing and hearing Anrea Bocelli singingTime to Say Goodbye for the first time. I commented to my husband that he will be a new singing sensation and that that song would be a big hit. Weeks later I could not find that tape or cd all sold out. And all because of your wliw. Your programing is a salute to the arts.

Masterpiece Theater has been the only thing that makes the end of the weekend bearable, since the first time I saw it with Alastair Cooke. Mystery is my favorite show on TV: Detective Lewis and Inspector Lynley; NOVA, Ken Burns, Documentaries, home shows, and lots more. Thank you.

Eastenders- been watching since the get-go and wish we could be as up-to-date as the viewers are in Britain! Thanks for purchasing it, and the other British shows. My fav comedy is As Time Goes By. I enjoy the repeats as they provide me with a comforting feeling. I laugh out loud when I see something I missed previously- after 20+ times! THE best writing- sophisticated as it does not just throw out jokes. And of course, “Judi, Judi, Judi”- is there an actor more brilliant than Ms. Dench? NO!

*Just one thing- the midnite Friday slot is very difficult!

I like the British sitcoms particularly As Time Goes By. It never fails to make me laugh. I find the relationship between these mature adults refreshing and both Geofrey Palmer and Judi Dench are wonderful as Lionel and Jean. It’s a comfort to be able to relax with these characters week after week . I could watch it over and over.

In addition, I can always find something to watch on WLIW whether it’s Masterpiece or a concert. The variety of adult entertainment is reliable. Unlike other stations where I have to constantly switch off violent or rude language, WLIW has the kind of classic good fun and entertaining fare so missing in commercial television,

Inspector Lewis Series….I absolutely love these mysteries. Lewis and Hathaway are simply marvelous together and I have learned a lot especially from Hathaway (Laurence Fox)…he mentions quotes and references from literature and poetry…I am imagining he had a very good education. He’s wonderful. I am a fan of his father James Fox, who delightedly appeared in Allegory of Love. In addition to the wonderful mysteries and the fun relationship with Lewis and Hathaway, and Jean Innocent…these have stirred my desire to learn more literature and poetry. I hope there will be more of Inspector Lewis with his educated sergeant..I love the funny by-play with these two in the trivia mystery. More please, please, please.

I love PBS….and am glad we have two stations in this area.

“The Teachings of Jon” is an excellent documentary. It’s a down a man w/ a mental disability and how he deals w/ the world. It’s also about the love and support of his family. I have seen this once before on WLIW, but I was just as enthralled as I was the first time I saw it. It’s an extraordinary piece and I hope you show it regularly.

My 16 month old son LOVES The Lawrence Welk Show!! He enjoys the music, dancing, and colorful costumes. Of course, his grandparents love the show as well but it was from their time. It’s a show now loved by a new generation.

I like most of the programs, but I wish you would put more of the mysteries on in the daytime. Not everyone wants to watch sesame Street and Martha speaks. I am retired , and love to watch a good murder mystery in the day time instead of all the bad news that’s on T.V.

I love As Time Goes By and Keeping Up Appearances on friday nights. I noticed a small error though. Just to let you know, the copyright for a few episodes of As Time Goes By that aired on 1/7/11 read MCMXV, which is 1915. I believe it should have read MCMXCV, which is 1995. Anyway, thanks for the good shows.

I have been watching Eastenders every single week since about 1990. This show is the entire reason I got a DVR – to make absolutely sure I never miss an episode. I can honestly say this is my only “must watch” show on TV. Thanks WLIW for continuing to air it, and for changing it back to Wednesday nights like you used to years ago.
