I visited the Temple of the Tooth with my then 9 year old son in 1997. He was chosen as we waited in a cueue to see the buddha. He was taken to the inner temple (I was told to wait outside). After quite a wait my son returned looking in a state of semi shock. He later after some prompting described how the monks enabled him to see the tooth. A monk placed his hands on the back of his neck and as my son explained let him see the tooth as if by x-ray vision. It is an experience that will stay with him for life. He later wrote in his travel journal, titled ‘Chosen One’. Apparently people are chosen by their aura. A young Western boy on holiday. Who would have thought. Has anyone a similar story?
