AH INDIA!!!Beware the casual tourist, She can chew you up a spit you out – Every possible thing you can imagine is happening everywhere all the time – often in the same place – from the most horrific, degrading, poverty, despair, slavery and human suffering , to the most beautiful, transcendent, spiritual, sublime, cosmic, truth!!!

Recently viewed the six part series on PBS, “The story of India “, hosted by Micheal Woods of England . I’ve been watching his many different historical shows over the years & I have to say He is Great ,smart, insightful & you can really tell he loves his subject matter and what he’s doing, ie…. sharing the ancient past . But the
truth of the matter is unless you love that sort of thing he can be abit stuffy and boring in the way only the English can . Thats why I have to say that Denis Belliveau and Francis Odonnell are a breath of fresh air in the stagnant world
of history based documentaries. These guys are so real it hurts ,when you laugh with them, when you cry for them, when you root for them , It hurts because like nothing else I’ve seen they open their Hearts and take you with them !!! Where to next ? I’m ready !!

"It was the best-documented journey of its time, inspiring the imaginations and ambitions of countless adventurers, including Christopher Columbus. Now we, too, can follow in the footsteps of Marco Polo, with guides as vividly exciting and engaging as Marco himself. With both their film and this book Denis and Francis have recreated what Joseph Campbell would have applauded as 'The Hero's Journey.' Come take it yourself and you'll never turn back."
