This is an outstanding program...finally an adventure documented by artists instead of pedantic scholastic types... Artists always make the best explorers IMHO as they capture the essential unseen elements, the best aspects of humanity.
I found this to be honest, unpretentious and truly spirited and I pray that we see more and of more of these types of open-hearted adventures....the best part of the whole thing, and a point which our beloved explorers stress in the end...that "most human beings are good". This is a truth which our world really needs to embrace now.... Thank you for taking us on an incredible journey !

The film will pull you into a magical journey of two extraordinary individuals whose in depth research, photography and at times amusing commentary will conjure up the desire in all of us to expand our horizons. The book is equally stunning, kudos to the both of you for making this incredible voyage and sharing it with us.

Hey Francis,
I have been looking for you since we lost contact in 1984. Fond memories of travelling in Italy, camping out on the Isle of Elba and having a personal tour of NY/NJ on new years eve. I look forward to viewing the doco and Reading your book. Regards, Simon from Adelaide, Australia.

I stumbled across the program as I was wandering around the internet and I am still not certain how I found it. I loved the program and would be happy to learn how I can access more travel programs presented on a computerized or internet format.

I came across this documentary by chance one night as I was watching t.v. and I loved it! It's a beautiful piece of work that is inspiring and personal at the same time. The stories of their experiences along their journey coupled with the beautiful imagery was exciting and inspirational. I'm in awe of the passion and courage of Denis and Francis. I've watched it everytime it's on t.v. and it's like I'm watching it for the first time all over again. I would love to see The Legacy, and purchase both on dvd!

These dudes are my heroes. Truly inspiring, felt like I was traveling right along with them (and the spirit of Marco Polo)... Fantastic work.

Hi!! Last night I was flipping through the channels tossing and turning in bed and stumbled across this documentary- me being a traveler and travel being the true love of my life I was glued to the television- I actually got goosebumps and felt like i was in the tv the whole time- it was AWESOME!!!! Its so refreshing to see people go out and LIVE and see the world as we should- your courage and relentlessness makes me even more eager to pursue my passions in life. I solute you both! My favortie quote was after the journey was over, I beleive Francis says "Travel is the enemy of Bigotry"!!- SO TRUE!!!! I cant wait to see more of the world one step at a time.....

An amazing experience to watch. Thank you.
And a pleasure to meet both of you on Friday at Dobbs Ferry HS
The story is amazing. Your video enthralling. It was magical to watch. So were the students, and they asked some great questions. The photography was beautiful. I am honored to have had the chance to meet you. Not often people step so outside their comfort zones. Thank you both.
