Host Tory Salvia, President of The Sailing Channel, introduces the highly acclaimed half-hour sailing/travel/adventure series Distant Shores, produced by Canadian sailors Paul and Sheryl Shards. In the finale, the Shards continue exploring the island of Lesvos on the Greek Isles and travel to the town of Plomari, the capital of Ouzo where many traditional festivals celebrate the heritage of the region. The Shards arrive on the first day of the Annual Ouzo Festival and enjoy four nights of feasting, regional music and free ouzo provided by the local distilleries. Paul and Sheryl end their visit by attending the Annual Horse Festival, where local riders parade through town and display their riding skills in a unique dance competition at the waterfront. 30 minutes. ST and CC.
