Distant Shores: Mytilini

Watch the full episode now:

Host Tory Salvia, President of The Sailing Channel, introduces the highly acclaimed half-hour sailing/travel/adventure series Distant Shores, produced by Canadian sailors Paul and Sheryl Shards. Viewers sail with the Shards aboard their Classic 37 sloop Two Step as they explore the west coast of Turkey. In this week’s episode, the Shards make landfall in Greece on the island of Lesvos, home of the Muses and poetess Sappho. They visit the island’s two gulfs of Kalloni and Yeras, home to delicious sardines and olive oil, and the Mylelia water mill, where these two products are still produced in the traditional style. The Shards also take a tour of the local church’s catacombs at Skopelos and participate in the Festival of Ay Marina. 30 minutes. ST and CC.

This is a great show! What a lifestyle… Paul and Sheryl are wonderful travel hosts and obviously very accomplished sailors. Can we get the show out here (Seattle PBS station)?
