The Allied Seawind skipper, Ed Verner, is also a professional musician/composer. In the version we’ve aired, Ed has added a poetic narrative to compliment his musical score.

Today I saw a lyrical episode about the pure joys of going for a sail, but was unable to locate more information about the boat, crew or episode on my PBS station web site or that of The Sailing Channel. Please remedy this. Following the episode I loved was one about a Canadian couple who are long range cruisers exploring the I found this episode a bore. It was about ozo, not sailing. Others do travelogues better.

I haven’t seen the program yet but am excited that WLIW is going to carry it. I think sailing oriented programing can be successful and plan to watch. Of course, on Sunday at 1PM I hope to be out sailing but I’ll record it.

For the next 3 Sundays, WLIW will be running a pledge drive schedule. Sailing Channel Theater will return on Sunday August 23 at 1PM Eastern.

This web page indicates that the Sailing Channel Theater airs on Sundays at 1:00 PM on WLIW21. However, on my Time Warner cable directory for next Sunday, August 2, 2009 I find something about railroads – not the Sailing Channel Theater. How can I find out where and when this show airs?
