Staff Sgt. (Ret.) Ron Henry, 41, is one of the members of the new pop vocal group 4TROOPS, whose debut performance special, 4TROOPS: Live from the Intrepid – premiering nationwide beginning June 1 on PBS (check local listings) – features an inspirational repertoire of well-known patriotic, pop and crossover hits. Born in Baxley, Georgia, Henry served in the Army for 20 years. He spent 13 months with the 101st Airborne Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom traveling unprotected roads as a Transporter – one of the most dangerous jobs in the war – and Transportation Manager. Henry also led the successful Army singing group Transportation Express, which formed at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
