HIGHLAND HEARTBEAT introduces Scottish Gaelic ‘mouth music’ to American TV audiences. Darren Maclean’s traditional Scottish lilting sounds like scat singing or fast rap. He is one of five Scottish singers brought together from a country—wide audition to perform in a new music special led by singer/actress Fiona Kennedy —— former host of “Tartan TV” and a member of Scotland’s leading theatrical family.
