Move over designer clothing, it’s time for New York City’s designer buildings to shine. As Fashion Week ends and Urban Design Week begins, New Yorkers can look forward to a host of architectural events on tap for the fall season.

The festival kicks off Thursday at the BMW Guggenheim Lab with the launch of “Atlas of Possibility for the Future of New York,” a book created from urban design blueprints submitted to the By the City/For the City competition, which challenged architects and planners to come up with ideas to improve the city’s public spaces. The winners of the competition will also be revealed at the event. For a complete listing of Urban Design Week events, click here. Check out our selection of other events taking place during Urban Design Week and beyond.
