Recorded July 2, 1977 and locked away in the archives of legendary promoter Bill Graham ever since, Wolfgang’s Vault Presents Day on the Green 1977 features performances by Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The concert captures Frampton at the height of the fan frenzy that followed his record-breaking 1976 album Frampton Comes Alive, which made him a household name and remains one of the top-selling live albums of all time. His charismatic performance features hits “Baby I Love Your Way,” “Show Me the Way” and “Do You Feel Like We Do.”
“I saw this video for the first time recently in my kitchen, and I couldn’t believe it! It brings back great memories of a great time,” said Peter Frampton of the public television program.

Loved the examples of rock back in 1977 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, takes me way back, and I love it !!!!!!!
i am a viet-nam vet.never been to a concert in my life.100% disable.i have lisened to him for years.i am 60 years old now.sure would like to have the black one.don’t know how to play it-but i can hang it on my wall for everybody to look at.right next to don’t mess with texas.jim.
I’m was twenty four back in 1977 and artists like Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd were favorites of mine and songs like “Do You Feel Like We Do”, “Show Me The Way” , “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Freebird” were either playing in my apartment or in my car’s eight track tape player. The music back then will always have a place in my heart as will the black Les Paul I owned back then. Speaking of which, that sunburst Les Paul that Peter signed looks nice.
One of the most memorable concerts of my life was seeing Peter Frampton, in California. Amazing day, amazing, CLASSIC music! Would love to have an autographed guitar for my son Henry.
Oh wow!! I was there….and I still have my ticket stub!! Peter Frampton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana, and The Outlaws…..I will never forget that amazing experience and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to witness such a magical time in music history!
I was there as well! I was hoping to receive the DVD’s after 9 weeks, but have not. WLIW won’t return my phone calls, email messages or other correspondence. So much for donating my hard earned money to a station that does not value its donors, doesn’t reply to inquiries and doesn’t ship products as promised. Just another greedy, heartless bunch of thieves.
