NO FOOD NETWORK IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!!!
My boyfriend and I have been watching Julia and Jaques, Lydia, and Rick Bayless (among others) even BEFORE Cablevision dropped the Food Network. We are cablevision customers so we lost it too. But honestly we both find these programs equally refreshing, informative and entertaining and really have not felt the loss of the FOOD network so much thanks to WLIW!!
Everyone thinks that without FOOD their lives are over, but I keep telling them WLIW and its like a lightbulb goes off.
Thanks WLIW :) PS Rick Bayless inspired our New Years celebration this year which was centered around a killer Ceviche my boyfriend made :)
I just watched a great show on Thai Food & want to know what NY restaurant was featured on “Taste This”… The show “Taste This” was very good & simple for a first timer, I hope you keep it.
Re:
Taste This…is this show a Saturday Night Live skit? This guy is one of the worst cooks I’ve ever seen….His Mole sauce was frightening…and his beer braised beef was absolutely hideous. I watch it ever week just for the as penance for my sins.
My favorites from the ones listed above on PBS are Lydia’s ~ she has the greatest show ~ Italy, America’s Test Kitchen, Jacque Pepin, Jacque Pepin and Julia Child and Simply Ming ~
PBS is the sure thing for the greatest television ~
