The WNET Group is launching a new afterschool programming lineup featuring public television programs that support student learning while having a blast! Building on fan favorites like Let’s Learn, AFTERSCHOOL SUPERSTARS offers fun and engaging educational programs for students in pre-K through fifth grade.
The AFTERSCHOOL SUPERSTARS programs air Monday through Friday on WLIW21 from 3– 5 p.m. beginning October 4, 2021, and feature literacy, math, social-emotional learning, art, and science content. In addition to the broadcast livestream at wliw.org/live, the programs will stream online for educators, families, and students on-demand at wliw.org/afterschool.
These programs are perfect for families to watch at home or for educators to use in their classrooms, to introduce and solidify academic concepts, supplement classroom or extracurricular lessons, and encourage students’ individual interests and curiosity.

Let’s Learn (Grades Pre-K-2)
Let’s Learn helps children ages 3-8 keep learning from home! Focusing on foundational reading and writing skills, literacy, math, science, social studies and the arts, the series also supports social emotional learning and brings viewers on virtual field trips to see dance performances, meet animals, visit botanical gardens and more. Classroom Connection (Grades Pre-K-3)
Monday – Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
Classroom Connection delivers engaging math lessons developed and led by dynamic teachers, aimed at kids ages 3-8 to reinforce classroom instruction and support their at-home learning. Host Mr. R guides viewers as they learn and play.
Curious Crew (grades K-5)
Monday – Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
Inquisitive kids join Dr. Rob Stephenson to take a hands-on approach to scientific exploration in Emmy Award-winning Curious Crew! Each episode features a cast of real kids working with Dr. Rob to discover elements of science through experiments, information about STEM, and more. Stream Curious Crew episodes.
Wimee’s Words (Grades PreK-K)
Wimee is a fun lovable robot that inspires kids to learn through creativity. Preschoolers and kindergarteners join Wimee and friends for wacky wordplay, silly songs, and playful conversation in an interactive literacy show that features real kids. Stream Wimee’s Words episodes.
Kid Stew (Grades K-5)
Fridays at 3:30 p.m.
Here comes a fast-paced series that’s by kids, about kids and for kids – and filled with plenty of laughs! Kid Stew inspires and enlightens kids of all ages to learn more about books, music, the arts and science. Stream Kid Stew episodes.
