Call the Midwife
The critically-acclaimed Call the Midwife premieres its sixth season on PBS (Mondays at 8pm premiering April 3), and times, they are a’ changin’. It’s 1962 in Poplar and social norms are seeing increased liberation for women and the introduction of new government policies. As Nonnatus House strives to help mothers and families cope with the demands of childbearing, disability, disease and social prejudice, the beloved medics must make choices—and fight battles—of their own.
Masterpiece: Home Fires
The riveting Masterpiece drama Home Fires returns for a final season, concluding the story of inspirational British women during World War II (Mondays at 9pm premiering April 3). As conflict takes hold and the separation from their husbands, fathers, sons and brothers becomes more painful, the women rely on one another and the friendships forged through village life. Samantha Bond (Downton Abbey) and Francesca Annis (Reckless) return to lead the extraordinary cast.
Father Brown: Season 5
Cycling back on the screen is Father Brown, ready to solve more mysteries in a fifth season (Tuesdays at 9pm, premiering April 4). The titular priest uses intuition and psychology to investigate crimes in the sleepy Cotswold village of Kembleford. This season, a Duke and Duchess visit the village at Christmas time, but the community is thrown into chaos when the couple’s baby boy goes missing. When a female author is murdered, Father Brown turns to her novels for guidance. And when a boxer is found dead in suspicious circumstances, Father Brown uncovers a well-planned betting sting. It’s a story of deceit and betrayal, but who has been playing whom?

The classic British comedy about Grace Bros and its staff has kept audiences laughing since 1973, and are sure to delight in its new time slot on Fridays at 9:30pm (beginning April 7).
