Day 6 of our To The Manor Born tour could have been subtitled The Day of the Dead as both of our big outings in the county of Devon were to places where inconvenient expirations occurred (both real and imagined).

In one day we experienced a tour of Cornwall's Port Isaac, where Doc Martin is filmed, and a falconry demonstration at the ancient estate Boringdon Hall, in Devon.

King Henry VIII – and his six wives – lived in this immense palace complex with gardens, which we got to explore on Day 6, along with London.

Known for its hot spring baths, baked buns, aqua stained glass and Georgian architecture, this ancient city is a beauty to explore.

On Day 5 of the To the Manor Born tour with WLIW, we set off for The Greenway Estate, the holiday home and gardens of the world's greatest mystery writer, Agatha Christie. We later continued on to Sidmouth.
