Fred Kaufman was hired by THIRTEEN in the early ‘80s as a production assistant for the natural history series “Nature.” He is now its executive producer. Pioneers of THIRTEEN is a four-part documentary chronicling the history of public television and showcasing THIRTEEN’s programming highlights over the last 50 years.
