New York has lost over 500,000 jobs in the last year through December, due in large part to the pandemic. Tonight, Metrofocus spotlight series “Who’s Running For Mayor” profiles a candidate who says he’ll bring those jobs back- plus more. His name is Ray McGuire. He’s one of the longest-serving and highest-ranking Black executives on Wall Street and has the support of New York’s business community. And just three months into his candidacy, he’s already raised over $5 million dollars- closing in on the fund-raising totals of established candidates like City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.
