While the world may know some of the significant names of the Civil Rights movement, there are countless everyday heroes who also fought to advance equal justice for all. As part of our Chasing the Dream initiative, Reverend Al Sharpton joins us to discuss his latest book, “Righteous Troublemakers: Untold Stories of the Social Justice Movement in America,” in which he aims to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes who were called to do extraordinary things and who helped advance the cause.

Chasing the Dream: Poverty and Opportunity in America is a multi-platform public media initiative that provides a deeper understanding of the impact of poverty on American society. Major funding for this initiative is provided by The JPB Foundation. Additional funding is provided by Ford Foundation.
